Q: What can I do if my weight loss stops during phase 2?
A: The important thing is determining the cause of the nil weight loss. Are you adhering to the plan diligently? Might you be making an unintentional error? Is it the natural body response to fat cells emptying? Are you exercising too strenuously? Do you have a cold? bad sunburn? Are you taking supplements that contain oil? Are you experiencing your period?
Q: What happens if I have trouble stabilising my weight during phase 3?
A: It is very important during phase 3 to avoid sugars and starches/carbs. Phase 3 is often overlooked and the result is almost always a disappointing and heart-breaking weight gain. Reading the phase 3 section in your instruction booklet adhering to it will help enormously to avoid weight fluctuations. The phase 3 instructions will be in your pack purchased.
Q: What can I do by way of skin care during Phase 2 if I am not allowed to use oils on my skin?
A: Check labels to ensure your skin care product contains no oil/fat component. Most will but those that are advertised as oil AND fat free might be safe to use. Aloe Vera gel is a perfect skin care product during VLC (and forever after for that matter). Apart from containing no fats/oils, it has amazing benefits when used on the skin - after several weeks of use, most people report a wonderful skin glow as well as skin spots disappearing. It should be used liberally and daily.
Q: Is the weigh me Vlc programme hormone free?
A: Yes, both the capsules and drops are both hormone-free, they are not homoeopathic but contain real ingredients and in powerful quantities. Our soft-gel is a convenient once-a-day dose on the 500cal programme. The diet drops follow the standard 3xdaily dose for those people who prefer drops.
Q: I am on phase 3 and gaining weight - what is happening?
A: The goal of the phase is to stabilise your weight....if this is not happening, perhaps you are indulging in foods that contain sugar, or carbs, or starches?

Q: It is great that weight loss happens on this programme, but does the weight return like other diets?
A: The answer can be a yes or a no...it will depend on the person.
If the person goes back to the same dietary habits that caused the excess weight in the first place, then one has to expect weight will eventually increase. It did before, so it will again!
If the person changes their dietary intake by following the programme carefully, then they are set to succeed long-term in keeping their weight normal and stable.
It is not a "magic diet", you are still the same person with that same genetic disposition for weight gain by carbs if that is your story. You are still your parents' child - if sugar and carbs cause weight gain, that will not change....what needs to change is your desire to not want sugar and carbs. Undertaking the programme correctly will help reduce those desires thereby making it easier for you to say "no"
Q: Will I not feel hungry eating just 500 calories?
A: The appetite suppressant is very effective. About 1500 calories of fat is being released daily; that together with your 500 calorie food intake amounts to 2000 calories which is generally very sufficient for the average person's daily activity requirements. Most people do not feel hungry and some do not even want their full 500 cal quota of food. We do have a 800-1000 calorie plan available if the 500 calorie is too daunting.
Q: Might I get constipated eating such a small amount of food?
A: Constipation can be experienced, especially by those people prone to get constipated. Drinking the water quota (2-3 litres daily) will help prevent this, as well as bulking out your meals with cabbage, Slim Pasta.
Other ideas:
- psyllium husks in plenty of water can be helpful but can have the opposite effect if not enough water is had with it.
- senna tea in the evening is a gentle natural laxative and one that many people find helpful.
- another tea is Slimmers Tea...a little more effective so again, have it in the evening.
- increase veg quantity (eg cabbage) to ensure plenty of roughage is put into and through the system
Q: What do the drops taste like?
A: You may find the herbs to make the drops gives them a slightly bitter taste.
Should you find the formula a little strong, you can dilute it in a tablespoon of water before placing it in your mouth. Example - 10 drops in a tablespoon of water 3 times per day. This will in no way effect the quality of the drops nor their performance.

FOODS
Q: What are starches and carbs? I know I must avoid them whilst on phase 2 and 3
A: Starches come from plants and are long chains of simple sugars. They are often referred to as "complex carbohydrates". (Sugar is a simple carbohydrate so you can see the connection between sugars and starches
Carbohydrates and starches are therefore closely related.

Q: What foods contain starch?
A: The list is long but here are some common foods to be avoided on phase 3, and most people find are best avoided long-term for weight maintenance:
Grains (wheat, barley, oats), therefore:
Bread, cereal, pasta, crackers, biscuits, cakes, pie crust......anything made with flour which is made from wheat or other grain/s
Also potatoes, corn, peas, beans, bananas, brown rice, white rice (refined starch)
Chick peas (dried only, they seem okay in moderation)
Lentils (dried only, they seem okay in moderation)
Q: Can vegetarians do this program?
A: Yes, but the food list is quite restricted. The vegetables remain the same choices but protein choices are limited to eggs / cottage cheese / whey protein powder. Results for vegetarians are slower.
Q: Can I drink coffee on the program?
A: Yes, but keep in mind the milk and sugar instructions.
Q: Can I drink alcohol on the program?
A: Sorry, not while on the drops or soft gels.
Q: What if some activity happens in my life that disrupts my phase 2?
A: Try to allocate your time to prioritise your desire to lose weight. If an occasion occurs when you "break" the diet, do not overly worry. Keep going with it and at worse you may have to add a day or two to address the deviation.
Just 2 grams of sugar (small glass of wine) or 2-3 grams of fat (couple of bites of pizza) is enough to stall weight loss.
Personal

Q: Do I have to stop taking the formula during my period?
A: No, you can continue the programme during that time, given that the formulas contain no hormone, there is no reason at all to change anything during menstruation. The only thing to keep in mind is the fluid retention that is generally experienced at that time and during ovulation. This may temporarily see the weight loss slow, stop, or even the weight to increase. These fluctuating fluid levels self-regulate so all you need to do is adhere strictly to the instructions and relax.
Q: Can I do this programme if I am going through menopause?
A: Whilst there appears no reason for menopause to interfere with the programme, for any concern of a medical nature, it is always a suggestion to consult with your health care professional. Our products contain no hormone. They contain amino acids and herbal/plant extracts. They are made in TGA registered facilities under pharmaceutical GMP. The quality control and standard is superb following all Australian regulations. the TGA is the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration that sets all the rules for medicine safety.
Q: Should I stop medications
A: Definitely not! If you have been prescribed medication from your doctor, you should follow their instructions.
